High School for the basics, College newspaper for the Journalistic Photography as well as refinement of my Darkroom skills, Wolf Camera for learning all Camera and film types, Gamma Technology Institute for Software and Digital Camera Education.

Arts/Photography Awards:
The award I want, I will never receive. There are always things to learn and improve upon; there are always areas to grow. Perfection as a photographer, husband, dad, and person is what I strive for.

Outside Interests:
White Sox Games, Camping, Kayaking, and Golf.

When I was growing up, I wanted....
I wanted to fly airplanes and write poetry like Jim Morrison.

Oscar

Education:
Graduated in 1986 from Columbia College with a BA in photography. Worked professionally as a photographer since the age of seventeen (after taking a photo class in high school) and never looked back. Most of my photo experience is in advertising. Current clients include Godiva, Ulta, Fannie May, The Great Indoors, Bloomingdales, and Lord & Taylor to name a few.

Art/Photography Awards:
Started shooting weddings for fun and for friends about fifteen years ago. Because of my ‘inexperience’ with shooting weddings coupled with my professional experience, I was able to produce a fresh artistic look to weddings. I now shamelessly bestow this talent for Stuart-Rodgers Photography.

Outside Interests:
I love to ride my bike, go to the beach, and take pictures of sunsets. I am a father of two great kids. I also referee for the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association.
